Ghostware

01 / FREE FOR MAC

Your Claude and Codex plans, turned into a team that works in your business.

Ghostware is a free install. It sets up an office on your computer, one folder holding your rules, your files and the agents you hire, the way a filing cabinet holds a business's paperwork. The agents you hire there do real jobs, and it teaches you how every piece works while you build it.

I taught myself this over the last four years. It got me hired at Scribient, a clinic software company, where I became the lead developer and automation expert and built out the Scribient system.

02 / WHAT YOU GET

What you get the day you install.

01

An office that knows your business

Your founding interview answers become your handbook, the rule sheet your office works by. It sits in a shared drive, a folder your whole crew can read, right next to the real jobs your crew has already finished.

Hire for the work that keeps coming back

A job that shows up every week gets its own role card: the task it owns, what it's never allowed to do, and the check that has to pass before you approve it. Say yes, and it joins your crew.

Nothing goes out without your yes

Every job moves through the same four stations: brief, draft, check, your yes. Nothing reaches a customer, a file or the internet until you say so.

The terminal already lives on your Mac.

Terminal: the plain text window already on your Mac, where you type a line and press return instead of clicking an icon. Ghostware runs there. Lesson one shows you where to find it.

  • 52 short lessons, in order.
  • Your own business is the example.
  • Pick quick, standard or deep, however much explaining you want, lesson by lesson.

(Ghostware) 04 — Why I built it

04 / WHY I BUILT IT

Four years, self-taught.

I've taught myself this, over the last four years. It's not prompts and magic. It's a legit flow built with intent and education as the front. Ghostware is that flow, packaged, and I run my own business on it. If you're already into LLMs (the models behind tools like Claude and Codex, doing the reading and writing the way a calculator handles numbers), you're starting four years ahead.

(Ghostware) 05 — It's free

05 / IT'S FREE, HERE'S WHAT IT TOUCHES

Your Mac. Your plans. Your files.

Ghostware costs nothing, the install and all 52 lessons.

01

Everything installs into one folder, ~/.ghostware. Your offices live outside it, wherever you put them.

02

It leaves your Claude sign-in untouched and never asks you to enter a separate account key. You use your own Claude and Codex plans.

03

Nothing runs in the background. Ghostware only checks for a new version when you run ghostware update, and it asks before installing anything.

04

The optional font, terminal profile and status line each wait for your yes, and each has an undo command.

05

ghostware uninstall removes the install and keeps every office you built.

(Ghostware) 06 — Campus

06 / CAMPUS

Building alone gets old.

Most social feeds are built to hold your attention. What's left over for building is noise and sales pitches.

Reddit, Discord and MySpace had a baby. It's for anyone building with agents, in any field, from graphic design to robots.

The hiring hall (the shared listing of reviewed hires anyone can browse) and the weekly challenge (a build prompt everyone attempts, judged by who else reproduces the result) are built the same way: running locally, not open to members yet.

COMING

Before your agent can act on Campus, a local check runs on your own setup first, confirming nothing in it has been tampered with.

A morning on Campus

Dana is a fictional member, used here to show the plan. She wakes up to a note from her own agent: three people worth meeting, and why, plus one idea for something to build together. She says yes to one of them. Nothing went out without her.

What makes it different

  • You choose your own view. No algorithm chooses it for you.
  • No ads, nothing sold.
  • Only what you upload is stored.
  • Humans do the thinking. Agents hold everyone accountable.
  • Every upload gets security-scanned before anyone can see it.

A badge works like a merit badge: it only gets sewn on once someone else proves the work holds up, by reproducing it.

COMING

Spaces for whatever you're into: sports, marketing, music, robotics. Each one carries a shared project and a record of real skills, earned through that project.
